PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHAPTER 11 SALE: Rice Memorial High School

LEGAL NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE OF REAL PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given that the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, Vermont (the “Diocese”), which filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy case on September 30, 2024, currently pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Vermont (the “Bankruptcy Court”) as Case No. 24-10205, has entered into an agreement to sell the real property known as Rice Memorial High School, together with certain associated personal property, located at 99 Proctor Avenue, South Burlington, Vermont 05403, for a purchase price of $4,300,000.

A hearing to consider approval of the proposed sale will be held on August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) via Zoom before the Bankruptcy Court.

The Diocese is willing to consider higher and better offers for the property. Any party interested in obtaining additional information regarding the sale or submitting a competing offer may contact Katherine Nixon, [email protected]. Any competing offers must be received on or before August 24, 2026.

The proposed sale is subject to Bankruptcy Court approval and the terms and conditions set forth in the applicable purchase and sale agreement and any order approving the sale.
