Jeffrey A. Beunier, CPA, CIRA, has extensive operational, management, investment analysis, financial analysis, and accounting and finance-related experience with a focus on natural resources. Over the course of his career, he has originated, analyzed, underwritten or restructured more than $500 million in energy centric assets, investment transactions and/or companies.
Professional and Educational Background
Jeffrey began his career working as an auditor with KPMG, LLP.  Subsequent to KPMG, Jeffrey was a senior asset manager (loan workout) at Washington Mutual Bank, then progressing to hold senior positions at several boutique buy side investment firms.  He managed some of the firms’ largest and most complex energy investments.  He also was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing distressed investment opportunities.

Since 2007, when Mr. Beunier established various affiliated entities for investing in and providing consulting services to the energy sector, he has been involved in multiple restructuring, assessment, advisory, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and due diligence assignments/engagements focusing on the oil field service and upstream sectors.  In 2009 investors engaged Jeffrey to restructure an OTC publically traded entity, where he held senior positions including interim CEO and CFO.  The entity ultimately acquired over 140,000 acres of leasehold interest in the DJ Basin.

In 2013, Jeffrey was engaged by multiple microcap, publically traded entities to provide assessments of the companies’ operations, finances, and strategic options.  Subsequent to the assessment phase, Jeffrey was tasked by the stakeholders of one of the entities with stabilizing production, streamlining operations, and the eventual marketing and monetization of the assets.  In 2014, Jeffrey, co-founded Front Range Energy Partners, which focuses on acquisitions of onshore oil and gas interests including minerals, royalties, and working interests.

Mr. Beunier is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).   Mr. Beunier has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a concentration in Finance, and a minor in Real Estate from the Pennsylvania State University.  Mr. Beunier has completed extensive post graduate training covering most aspects of the upstream sector including: Geology, Well Log Analysis, Well Planning, Well Design and Testing, Reservoir Engineering, Surface Operations, in addition to course work in Accounting, and Financial Analysis and Planning.  Additionally, in 2015, Jeff completed Petroleum Super School at the Colorado School of Mines.
