PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHAPTER 11 SALE: Essex Technology Group, LLC

NOTICE OF SALE OF ESTATE PROPERTY and
AUCTION OF ASSETS OF ESSEX TECHNOLOGY, LLC

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT Essex Technology Group, LLC (the “Debtor”) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on February 3, 2025, in the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Case No. 25-00452 (NBK).

The Debtor operates 92 “Bargain Hunt” retail stores located in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

The Debtor is selling substantially all of its remaining assets (the “Acquired Assets”) in a 363-bankruptcy sale auction, with any qualifying bidders, subject to Bankruptcy Court approval. The Acquired Assets shall be sold free and clear of all liens, claims, encumbrances, and interests to the greatest extent allowed under section 363(f) of the Bankruptcy Code.

Contract Cure Procedures. The Debtor has filed a notice of potential assumption, assignment and/or transfer of executory contracts and unexpired leases that may be included in the auction (the “Notice of Assumption and Assignment”) at [Docket No. 115] in the Debtor’s bankruptcy case. Those interested in the Debtor’s leases should contact A&G Realty Partners, LLC using the contact information below.

Bid Deadline. All bids must be submitted so as to be received not later than 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Central Time) on February 21, 2025. Notice of qualified bids will be sent out within one (1) day after the Bid Deadline at 4:00 p.m. (prevailing Central Time).

Auction. The auction is currently scheduled to be held at 9:00 a.m. (prevailing Central Time) on February 24, 2025. If the Debtor does not receive at least one qualified bid from a qualified bidder, no auction or sale hearing will be held.

Sale Hearing. The Sale Hearing is scheduled to be conducted at 9:30 a.m. (prevailing Central Time) on February 25, 2025, at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, Courtroom 3, 701 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.

Objection. Objections to the sale must be made in writing, filed, and served so as to be actually received by 4:00 p.m. (prevailing Central Time) on February 24, 2025.
